This is a planning tool, not a quotation. This is a planning tool. It is not a quotation, not an offer and not a booking. No payment is taken anywhere on this website. The price you pay is the price on the written quotation we issue for your actual dates, with every charge itemised, and it is confirmed before any money changes hands. How our prices work.

The same trip, month by month

Cheapest month for this shape of trip is January, from €1,382. Moving the dates is usually the single biggest saving available, which is why we ask about them first.

Not included in the band above: Airline and supplier surcharges that are set after the date of enquiry; Visa application fees payable to a government, which we never collect; Optional excursions and spending money at the destination; Any amendment or cancellation charge applied by a supplier after booking.

How a booking actually goes

Four steps, and no money changes hands until step four

  1. 01

You tell us the shape of it

Roughly where, roughly when, how many of you, and what the budget has to stretch to. A month is enough to start with; exact dates come later.

  2. 02

    We check what actually exists

Live availability with licensed suppliers, on your dates, for your party. Not a brochure price from six months ago that nobody can book.

  3. 03

    You get options, in writing

Each option priced in full, with what it includes, what it does not, and the supplier whose terms govern it. No pressure and no deposit at this stage.

  4. 04

We book it and stay reachable

You accept a quotation, we book with the supplier, and you have a named person in Longford to ring if something changes before or during the trip.

This website takes no payment at any point. How our prices work sets out what a written quotation contains, what is excluded, and the cancellation position before you are asked to commit to anything.

Why a licensed agent still matters

The booking is the easy part

Anyone can put a card number into a website. What you are buying from a travel agent is what happens when the flight is cancelled, the hotel is a building site, the connection is ninety minutes and the airline says that is your problem.

Kanes Travel has been on the Irish register since 27 July 1978, which is 48 years, and holds Travel Agent Licence TA 0145 from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). That licence is a legal requirement for selling travel in Ireland, it is checkable in a public register, and it is not something a booking site without an address can show you.

What we will not do

  • Quote a headline price that does not survive contact with a real booking.
  • Add a charge after you have accepted a quotation without telling you what it is and why.
  • Describe a property or a cabin as something it is not, to close a sale.
  • Promise you a visa. Visa decisions belong to the destination country, never to us.
  • Take a payment through this website. Payment is arranged with us directly, after you accept a quotation.

Start a conversation

Tell us roughly what you want

You do not need dates, a budget or a destination pinned down. Most of the best trips we have arranged started with somebody saying they had a week in October and wanted to be warm.

We read enquiries at the counter at 27 Ballymahon Street and reply in writing, normally within one working day.

Tell us about the trip

A consultant at our Longford counter reads this and replies with options in writing, normally within one working day. Nothing is booked and no payment is taken until you accept a written quotation.

Even a rough month changes the price a great deal.

Before you send this

Who gets it. Kanes Travel Agency Longford Limited, 27 Ballymahon Street, Longford, N39 K5A4, Ireland, is the data controller. You can reach us at info@kanestravelagency.com or +353 43 333 4500.

Why. To read your enquiry, check what is available for your dates, and reply with options and a written quotation.

Required fields (your name, email, destination, dates, party size and the message) are processed under GDPR Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. We cannot answer you without them.

Optional fields (telephone number, budget, and the planner itinerary if you attach one) are processed under Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in replying usefully rather than with six follow-up questions. Leaving them blank changes nothing about the answer you get, and Article 21 gives you the right to object at any time.

How long. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 24 months. Booking records are kept for the period Irish tax and travel-trade law requires.

Where. Our server is operated by Namecheap, Inc. in the United States, outside the European Economic Area, so this is a transfer to a third country under Standard Contractual Clauses (GDPR Article 46(2)(c)). We are not asked to consent to this and neither are you; it is disclosed because Article 13(1)(f) requires it.

No consent is asked for. You are not required to agree to anything to send this. Full detail, including your rights and how to complain to the Data Protection Commission, is in the privacy policy.
