Why. To read your message and reply to it, whether you are a private traveller or writing on behalf of an employer.

Required fields (your name, email, what it is about, and the message) are processed under GDPR Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. We cannot answer you without them.

Optional fields (telephone number) are processed under Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in replying usefully rather than with six follow-up questions. Leaving them blank changes nothing about the answer you get, and Article 21 gives you the right to object at any time.

How long. Correspondence is deleted after 24 months unless it relates to a booking, a complaint or a legal obligation that requires us to keep it longer.

Where. Our server is operated by Namecheap, Inc. in the United States, outside the European Economic Area, so this is a transfer to a third country under Standard Contractual Clauses (GDPR Article 46(2)(c)). We are not asked to consent to this and neither are you; it is disclosed because Article 13(1)(f) requires it.
